On January 29, 2006 we lost one of our CHA-3 brothers. Christopher Peralta Arguilla was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident and is now in good company with other CHA-3 brothers and sisters in Heaven.
Arguilla, as we in class affectionately called him, will be greatly missed. Not only was he a good student, but he was also an outstanding friend and human being. As one of Chris' fellow classmates so eloquently put it, "He was a bright light in this world of much darkness!" I will always remember Chris as being an extremely respectful young man with a perpetual smile. Even when he was being punched or kicked in class, he was smiling. Chris trained hard in Kenpo and would always give his best effort. Even hung over and at 9:00 or 9:30 or when he could bring himself to roll out of bed, he would be somewhat ready for training. Arguilla to me will be remembered as a free spirit, funny, goofy yet still quiet and shy at times. He was giving, yet private and mysterious. Arguilla, now that you have passed on to a better place along with our founder Professor Marino, Manini Cuarisma, and Chief Al Tejero, the CHA-3 Big Dogs are scolding you for not showing up for training. REST IN PEACE ARGUILLA! We will all miss you, but we will never forget you ! Thanks to everyone who showed support for our fallen CHA-3 Brother especially: Professor Michael Tiwanak (Hawaii Headquarters), Senior Instructor Joe Gurenczny (Chula Vista), and Chief Instructor Mike Potes (Las Vegas). |
